Astronomy and Our Place in the Universe

Admission is free. Arranged in cooperation with the Tri-State Astronomers. William Laska, astronomy instructor at Shepherd University’s Lifelong Learning program presents an overview of astronomy providing a better understanding of the night sky and our place in the Universe. Topics include an introduction to astronomy basics, a discussion of the solar system and beyond, what we can expect to see over the next 20 years in space exploration, and information on astronomical objects that are visible without the need for a telescope or binoculars.
